The Schneider-Kreuznach 40-80mm f/4.0-5.6 LS Lens is a wide-angle to a standard length zoom lens that provides the 35mm focal length equivalence of 25-50mm. This is a versatile and effective set of focal lengths for handheld location shooting with an automatic diaphragm and both manual and autofocus capabilities. Minimum focus distance is 1.97' and the coverage area at the minimum focus is 22 x 16.3" at the wide-angle end and 11.8 x 0.9" at the telephoto end.

With a Leaf Shutter mechanism, the lens can offer a flash synchronization speed of 1/1000 seconds or utilizing the camera's focal-plane shutter, realize a shutter speed to 1/4000 seconds. It accepts 105mm screw-on filters and a petal-style lens hood is included. Its sturdy barrel design includes two dedicated and smooth-action control rings for precise manual focus and fast zoom adjustment.
