Leica TS-APO-Elmar-S 120mm f/5.6 ASPH
The Leica TS-APO-Elmar-S 120mm f/5.6 ASPH Lens is equivalent to 96mm in the 35mm format. It is a telephoto tilt-shift lens that allows for control over the location of the focal plane and control of perspective. This is the first fully adjustable tilt-shift lens made for the Leica S medium format camera system. This lens is designed for architectural, product, and still-life photography, in which controlled perspectives and maximum depth of field are required. A large image circle allows for the combination of tilting and shifting. Tilting the plane of focus allows focus to be placed at any chosen point within the image, therefore controlling depth of field without having to adjust the aperture. Parallel shifting enables precise control of diverging or converging vertical lines, especially important in architectural and product photography.
Tilt and shift are adjusted by four distinct rings on the lens barrel. One turn/push ring each for setting the tilt and shift direction and one each for setting the amount or degree of shift or tilt. In addition, this lens is an apochromatically corrected lens which significantly reduces chromatic and spherical aberration. The lens come with an integrated lens hood to prevent unwanted light from entering the lens.
- Maximum shift of 12mm and Maximum tilt of 8º in each direction.
- Supplied with a tripod mounting plate with 1/4" and 3/8" bushes, allowing the lens to be fixed securely in any position.
- An apochromatically corrected lens with 6 lens elements in 4 groups and 1 aspherical surface provides consistent image quality.
